About

Who?
I’m a 20-something researcher who previously worked at CERN on the ATLAS experiment (yes, it’s still broken). My degree is in physics, but I was serving in more of an engineering capacity. I did a lot of work with the various electronics and software that my group uses to run its system.
What?
Well, this is a blog. My interests, as you can probably tell, are quite varied. A short list of things I enjoy very much could include:
- Cats- I have 8.
- Chocolate
- Classical Music- I played timpani/percussion in various orchestras and bands for 12 years.
- Ultimate (frisbee)
- Hiking
- Traveling- What’s your Travel IQ? Mine’s 167.
- Amateur Photography
When?
Black Holes and Snowy Mountains will update at least every Monday and Thursday, barring major distractions.
Where?
This blog lives in one of the many long, narrow series of tubes that comprise the internets.
Why?
Despite being a science person, I do enjoy writing my thoughts down. If you like reading them, that’s even better.
Have a look around and leave a comment or two. If you have any suggestions about site layout/mechanics, spelling errors, or flames, you can send me an e-mail.
