2009 NFL Season Preview: NFC West

The NFC West might as well be the NFL’s minor leagues. Despite having talented players, injuries and dismal coaching made the west the laughingstock of the league in 2008. However, the NFC representative at the Super Bowl somehow managed to come from this division. With three new head coaches, how is this division shaping up for 2009?

NFL Week 1 Predictions

Week 1 should not disappoint with several entertaining division matchups as well as old rivalries. Usually these will be a bit longer, but I’ve been pressed for time this week. Here are my predictions, and at the end of the year I’ll tally them to see how I do. I’ve never predicted a score correctly, and usually predict the winner with about 65% accuracy.

The NFC South has always been kind of a dark horse divison. None of the teams have been flashy and/or consistent winners over the past couple seasons like the Patriots or the Colts, and all have seemed rather one-dimensional. Will that perception change in 2009?

2009 NFL Season Preview: NFC North

The NFC North is probably the division in the greatest flux, as major changes across the board for almost every team are taking place. The Packers are switching to a different defensive system, the Bears are still trying to figure out their offense, the Lions are trying to win a game, while the Vikings made an offseason splash with a quarterback signing. How will these teams fare in 2009?
