7 Things That Shouldn’t Go Out of Style

As technology and styles progress, things inevitably get left in the dust. Here’s a short list of things being left by the wayside that deserve to be saved. Are you doing your part?

Smart Phones as the Next Frontier?

An interesting article from the Wall Street Journal compares the market share and profit share of a few major handheld manufacturers. Surprise surprise- Apple and RIM both have extremely high profit/market share ratios, accounting for 35% of the industry’s profits from just 3% of industry market share.

This program is one of my latest open-source discoveries.  It’s a free password manager with almost all of the features of commercial programs like 1Password.  Well worth investigating if you are looking for such an application.

Do you play an instrument?

A new reader inquiry!

Do you (or have you) play an instrument? For how long? When did you start? When did you stop? What do you like/dislike about playing (besides practicing)?

I was a section percussionist from about fourth grade until the end of my senior year in college. I miss playing, and hope to continue some day if I can find the right situation.
