As I said, I haven't actually used one, so I wonder how it handles things like mathematical equations. But for books alone, you're looking at up-front costs of several hundred dollars as well as around $10/eBook. The break even point (cost of paper vs cost of eBook) at this rate isn't until you've read several hundred eBooks. I can see the advantages of news websites replacing printed newspapers, but I'm not persuaded there are many advantages of ebooks. Plus ebooks are so expensive you'd need to read a hell of a lot of them to justify the cost of a Kindle etc. I'm glad eReaders are around though. They must be a godsend to people like lawyers and academics, who need to refer to huge numbers of documents and would find the search function very handy. I think you’re right.
